What is Content Disabled all about? Must read for all

First I'd like to say welcome to the Content Disabled blog. This blog was created and appropriately named 'Content Disabled' because of the many news channels/sites out there which would censor users posts to world news and events.

I'm an active reader of the news, whether its local, regional or world news. I would comment on various stories on these sites but what I found after awhile is that many of my comments would never get posted. After submitting my posts, which are really my own personal view on things, they would go to a 'moderation team' and if they deemed the post was ok, then it would get posted for all to read, and if they didn't want to post it, I would get this 'content disabled' message.

I have to say this is very frustrating, especially in a world in which I live that is supposed to be 'free' but clearly this isn't the case. I've created this blog so that everyone can read about the latest news stories and post their thoughts on it - without being censored if you don't agree with the article or government views. Keep in mind though, this blog is not without some etiquette - keep the racism and bad language out of it. I'm all for allowing everyone to speak their mind but I will keep an eye on it. Don't get me wrong, this blog is anti-censorship so if you get censored then your comment would have to be pretty bad.

The other reason for this blog is to post news from all over the world from all kinds of sources - any news channel, any blog, any youtube channel is welcome here. I don't put reporters for major news channels above anyone else - in fact most independent and little known reporters or bloggers out there have a much more open view of events and can report without bias or at least showing both sides of the story.

I'll do my best to keep this going. If you like the blog or have any suggestions, by all means let me know! I'm VERY open minded. :-)
